October Update

Dear Friends,

Praise the Lord!

The weather in September has been warmer than usual, bringing us the summer that we seemed to have missed! In this month I had the wonderful privilege of participating in two family weddings. The time together with family was enriching and beautiful.

In between the weddings and family celebrations, I was grateful to minister again in The Pas, in northern Manitoba. The people came with hearts open to receive and were not disappointed. The Lord brought encouragement and refreshing.

September is also the time of harvest in my province. One evening I saw a beautiful field of golden, ripened wheat ready to be harvested. However, the skies were filling with storm clouds. The threat of heavy rain or hail could easily destroy the hopes of the harvest.

I was deeply moved by the spiritual parallel. Storm clouds of evil are also now gathering on all horizons - in our world but there is still a great harvest of souls to come to Christ. Jesus reminded us to work while it is day, because the night is coming soon.

At the time you receive this update, the Lord willing, I will have arrived in Iceland where I will be ministering for nearly a month. I will be conducting services in Akureyri, Isafiordur, Vopmafiordur, as well as other (unpronounceable and unspellable!) locations. In the next update, I will be able to tell you of my adventures in this amazing little country.

Your prayer support is so appreciated. It is my earnest desire to be a part of bringing many souls to Jesus. As we sow seeds in faith, watering them with prayer, we can trust the Lord to draw many to Himself. I am very grateful for your interest and encouragement for this ministry.

In Christ,

P.S. In Psalm 139:1,2 David recognized that God was infinitely interested in his life. He declared, "O Lord, thou hast searched me, and known me. Thou knowest my downsitting and mine uprising, thou understandest my thought afar off."

In difficult moments we can be reminded that the Lord knows the deepest details of our lives. He hears the cries of our hearts, before they are even uttered. He knows our struggles and our failures; He knows our victories and our joys. He understands our thoughts, our motives - even when we don’t understand our own minds! He knows the total truth about us. But He loves us still.
